DIANORA SALVIATI The Salviati family came originally from Florence. Since the fourteenth century, Many of it's members were merchants in the then flourishing wool industry and it was Jacopo Salviati who, in 1394, founded the company known as Arte di Lanna (literally "Art of Wool"). Dianora Salviati is following her ancestor's heritage with her collections of hand loomed scarves. Individually crafted in Tuscany with minute care, using renaissance methods of weaving by the thoroughly skilled artisan, each piece embodies the high standard of artistry and craftsmanship, luxury and refinement that the Salviati family has always been known for. Aware of the new technology available today, Dianora is marrying old materials to the new ones, keeping away from the ever rising tide of mass production. She plans to expand her women's accessories line and to design products for the home in the near future. Dianora Salviati founded her own company in 1998, and since then, she has been selling her creations to the most exclusive retail stores in North America, Europe and Asia.
