ROBERTA FURLANETTO

Roberta Furlanetto has grown professionally, expressing herself throughthe diligent use of fabrics which have found application in haute couture. In fact she has collaborated with the most prestigious fashion designers, among which are Christian Lacroix, Ungaro, Dior, and Alaja, creating for them exclusive clothing collections. Now, as a result of the considerable experience she has acquired over the years, she has designed and produced a collection of clothes that, although belonging to pret-a’-porter, exhibit all the hallmarks of the finest couture.

STYLE: Minimal and sumptuous. Logical. Sophisticated but practical and functional.

CHARACTERISTICS: Significant design research. The precision of cuts that hide surprise. An uncompromising choice of black and white as exclusive colors. Although oblique, they approach decoration and contribute to shaping trousers, jackets, and skirts.
MATERIALS: Cotton, silk, hemp, cashmere.

SILHOUETTE: The figure seems to evoke the XVIII century, thanks to small structured and form-fitting jackets, minimalist but rich, with a delicate tournure effect in the skirts. The cut follows the body and then thickens and rises up in the rear part.

DETAILS: The position of buttons and a certain symmetry respond to the sense of a more modern practical ease, but echo the XVII century. This refines everything, ascribing a different meaning to suitability. Unusual details, such as those in the kimono blouse which a simple combination of darts transforms into a whimsical and draped element. A simple waistband or hook covered with fabric allows varying the length and flow of trousers and sleeves.
